| Yeah.
So, I was supposed to take the bus home today from Lynchburg. There was a delay, a two hour one, in the morning. Then a three hour delay this afternoon. It was ridiculous. I got home nearly six hours late. Thankfully, Mom had chili waiting.
God gave me a gift in Harsh. My Nepali friend was with me for half the trip, so at least I wasn't alone. I also met Sarah, a Jewish French girl who's attending law school in Richmond. It was fun. Educational.
And now I've got a shower I don't need flip-flops for, home cooking, cable TV, and my own bed. All's well that ends well. More later.
| Come and go, come and go, such is the way of life...
I'm sitting in the computer lab, surrounded by strangers and hating it. Why do all walls have to be painted white? Why does Liberty's filter block videos of ghosts? And why... am I saying all this out loud, causing the girl next to me to roll her eyes and mutter something derogatory?
Simple answer: I'm bored. Bored and sick of school. I don't want to go home - I like it here with my friends- but I don't want to be subjected to another test, another quiz, another opportunity to blow it all sky high. Assessments and evaluations suck. They make me feel stupid. Can you tell I've had a rough few days lately?
Don't feel sorry for me; I'm whining. But sheesh, life is painful right now. Of course, it's not all bad. My sister dorm for next year seems like a joyful sort. They like me anyway, God bless 'em. Here's to Fall 2006.
AND... how can the one you love turn into a "generality"? Good stinkin' question.
| TWO KIDS IN MY DORM GOT SAVED! DO I SOUND EXCITED? IT'S COS I AM! BOOYAH!
Ok, ok... *whew* Over-exerted myself. But isn't that so awesome? They're from Nepal and had Hindu beliefs. They accepted Christ at seperate times on Good Friday, feeling sure that God was chasing after them. Nifty beyond words. One of them is in my prayer group, and I could not be more jazzed. Hopefully my fellow prayer leaders and I will be able to really pour into them with the limited time we have left.
Dorm 4 had a combined hall meeting/talent show with the lovely ladies of 33-6 Thursday night. It was a lot of fun, and the teaser trailer I made with Jeff was very well-received. Be sure to read the hit novel Champions of Liberty before the movie comes out: www.freewebs.com/dorm4.
On a whim, I went to my sister SLD's house with her and my friend Christa this past weekend. We went to a softball game, had T-bone steak (*sigh*), participated in an adults-only easter egg hunt, and tried to outbelch each other on the way home. It was one of the best Easters I've ever had.
A girl in the Rot told me she liked my face when I complimented her shirt. Oddly gratifying, to be sure. Kingdom Kids puppet team heads for Kentucky this weekend, and if we don't get $10,000 soon, it will be our last hurrah. So please, pray, donate, whatever. We need your help!
I am too tired to be funny anymore. I can hear some of you now: "You're not funny when you're awake!" Hardee har har. You're all bums.
| It seems like everyone is trying that eHarmony website to see if they'll be matched with anyone. Angelica and Josh both got rejected... poor them. I was curious, so yeah, I tried it. They had six different matches for me. *shrug* Not bad I guess. I'm not going to actually use the site of course... I don't trust that sort of thing, no matter how detailed the questionaire is.
Yesterday was the digital photo scavenger hunt. I proposed to a stranger, lied facedown in pond scum, slept in a cage with two dogs, and ran through a cemetary... and my team lost. Oh well. We all went to the Professional Party Thrower's barbecue afterward. It rained nastily, but a lot of people still showed up and ate and played horseshoes. Jeff and I even sang an acapella rendition of "singin' In the Rain". A good time was had by all.
And now it's 1am, and I still haven't started my homework. *sigh* The life of a college kid...
| Dave's birthday was yesterday. Phil and I silly-stringed him in the Mexican resturaunt. It was fun.
So my puppet team, Kingdom Kids, needs $10,000 and a place to store our puppets really really soon. We'd appreciate your prayers. If you seriously want to donate to our cause, talk to me ASAP. Let your churches know; I can give you details. Hopefully we'll have our own website soon.
I despise Pastoral Duties class. No one who reads this knows what it's like, but everyone's had the experience of the teacher who thinks he's always right and mocks you in front of the rest of the class. Or maybe that's just my experience too. Aw well... won't have to suffer much longer. But I have to pass the class this time, heh.
I love my wife... whoever she is.
